The scan is poor? Well, I think it's pretty good enough already considering that half the scans here all have lines. I scanned it at 600dpi (but resized it down about 75%) which explains the many little dots. Are you a wall paper-maker? I'm only an avatar maker, so scans like this are fine when I resize them down further

Yea, it'd take more post work than usual to maximize quality if I were to use it. Lines are normal and usually not much of an issue. It's the dots + lines that get in the way. I guess the resizing you did is what's to blame for the dots. And yes, I do make wallpapers whenever I feel like it. =]
